Windows Server 2016
Extended support ends January 12, 2027. ESU years run January 2027 to January 2030, priced per core with the same 16-core-per-server minimum as a new license.
SQL Server 2016
Extended support ended July 14, 2026. ESU years run July 2026 to July 2029, priced per 2-core pack with a 4-core minimum per server.
Windows 10
Support ended October 14, 2025. Commercial ESU doubles in price each year through October 2028. Most devices upgrade to Windows 11 at no license cost if the hardware qualifies.
Azure includes ESU
Workloads moved to Azure virtual machines, Azure VMware Solution or Azure Virtual Desktop receive Extended Security Updates at no extra charge. Ask us to price the move.
